Controlled Confusion

There's a light that always flickers in the hallway, and it hasn't stopped for what seems like quite some time now. It has a low hum that never ceases, like the cicadas that one summer back home in Ohio, but for some reason when I go to turn it off, the switch never works.

I'll reset the breaker, and for a brief moment - the hum stops.

After awhile, the cycle restarts, and out there in the hallway, the light starts to dance amongst the white washed walls again.
