A Stone Centipede is consumed by an unidentified fungal infection, the hyphae spreading between the wood and the Centipede's tissues. The soft purple toned side flesh protrudes and the Centipede's final pose becomes a feast for the pathogen. (Order: Lithobiomorpha / Suspected: Bothropolys multidentatus)
Photographed in situ, without the use of artificial lighting or staging. Photoshop only used for resizing.
