Cold Galatea

Pygmalion made the most beautiful sculpture in the world carved in white ivory : A woman with an unimaginable and incomparable beauty.

And from admiring his work so much, he fell in love with her. He pretended that she was a real woman. He brought her gifts and treated her as if she were alive. However, the statue could not respond to his attentions, she was as cold as marble and Pygmalion felt miserable.

The sculptor even caressed and kissed her, but Galatea was cold and distant.

Galatea is cold, naked, soulless, in a dark workshop. She is as dark as a tomb, but the horror and darkness will disappear from her eyes about to open to life. So it will be in THE AWAKENING OF GALATEA.
