A song of form and colour

Chromatic Surge is the third and final piece in my newest series "MicroChipped"

With this final piece i am ready to explain the process behind the creation of this series.

It all starts with a beautiful wee generative coding tool called the Acrylicodes drawing tool - with this i create a simple shape structure and import the SVG into GIMP 2.10 here i play with colours and contrast and begin to lay a series of filters and scripts to get it to my desired shape and form, GMIC is a really interesting collection of scripts and a powerful tool to use within GIMP. Once i have the form i want i begin again to alter the colours, i create multiple layers and blend them back into each other again and again until i have found the final piece.
