Title: "Chaotic Structures"
Format: MP4 (Created with p5.js using WEBGL)
Technique: Generative Art
Algorithms for 3D rotation, transformation, and spatial modulation Procedural texturing using architectural images (window, door, column, stairs, etc.) Stochastic logic for volumetric grid composition.
Description: "Chaotic Structures" is a generative artwork that explores architecture as a modular system in constant transformation. Using a limited set of iconic architectural elements (windows, doors, columns, gates), it builds textured cubic structures that float and spin within an abstract 3D space.
The piece simulates an impossible city that continuously reconfigures itself, where each architectural module rotates, shifts, and emits soft translucent flashes of color—creating a pulsating, living atmosphere. This digital city is not bound by gravity or functional logic, but instead manifests as a visual poetry of volume and repetition, with a mathematical and dreamlike rhythm.
Designed to produce endless variations, each rendering of the piece subtly changes on every run, thanks to controlled randomness and internal timers that modify scale, rotation, and texture. Light and color enhance the ephemeral nature of the forms, evoking both architectural models and urban dreams.
Presented as part of the June Architecture Edition by ACTZ on Tezos, this piece is a tribute to the constructive logic of architecture, translated into the realm of generative art on the blockchain. It’s a digital proposal that merges structural precision with controlled chaos, challenging the boundaries between design, art, and code.
