On October 25, 1836, a mob destroyed the Campo Santo cemetery in Salvador/BR. Opened three days earlier, by a private company that would have a monopoly on burials for thirty years. Until that date, Bahians were buried in churches, today prohibited to the dead due to the influence of European hygienist ideas.
The Cemiterada- as this uprising became known - evidences a type of religiosity and funerary culture in which the burial place played a central role in the project of saving the soul.
This tomb brings in a particularity a Jesus in tiles, closed by a glass, tomb belonging to Gildardo who has resided here since 2005, it is not so old but time has worn it down a lot, it also has the phrase "Eternal Love" on its plaque, tomb found in the municipal cemetery of Agua Verde
