Generative videoart created with a python code written by the artist. The script uses a single video file which was processed in nine delayed layers.
The background layer occupies the full 1080p frame, playing from a start to an end point and backwards, closing a perfect loop. Eight new layers of the same video are created in invisible new windows, each one horizontally cropped in a different strip sized 1/8 of the full frame and delayed in 0.2 seconds from one to another. Then, at randomly chosen moments, the opacity of the strips is gradually increased until they’re fully visible and, after two seconds, gradually decreased until they disappear again.
This coded process happens sometimes during a full loop of the video, which was screen and audio recorded to create this NFT. The sound is native to the original video and varies from a single line to a 9x delayed overlapped version that follows the 8 strips + the background playback.
