Cyclic Cellular Automata - 178
Interaction between mathematics and art through the use of Cellular Automata, a mathematical tool that describes patterns in complex systems. The work consists of a series of images generated by a Cellular Automata model, where each image is the result of the evolution of the previous pattern. Through the cyclical repetition of the process of evolution, the work seeks to reflect on the cyclical nature of life and human existence.
Inspired by Stephen Wolfram's thermodynamics, John von Neumann's cellular automata, and David Griffeath's cell cycles.
