Nearly 100 miles of ridgelines separate Mount Daniel and Mount Baker amongst the Cascade Mountain Range. A brutal 9-mile trek with 5,000 feet of elevation gain and a class 3 scramble brought us to the highest point in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The reward for our efforts was one of the most spectacular evenings looking out over the Cascades with Mount Baker peaking out in the distance.
