carte d'alarme - audiovisual poem
the video work weaves pseudo-archival footage into timeless meditative explorations of time and presence an infinite cosmic psychedelic journey into the inner world in fact i named this video map of anxieties because in the context of the war in ukraine the sea too is anxious
this work becomes a text of layered absences a palimpsest where the grain of the image trembles with the weight of collective unease the sea does not merely reflect it speaks in ripples of fragmented myths each wave a signifier of loss and longing carrying the punctum of a wounded homeland the pseudo-archive is not memory but its shadow a flickering trace of what refuses to be fixed the viewer is caught in a semiotics of drift where time dissolves into the anxiety of being neither past nor future but a pulsating now the map of anxieties charts no territory only the endless oscillation between presence and its erosion a visual language that mourns yet resists closure it captures not the thing itself but the air of its passing a fragile constellation of light and shadow whispering the war’s unspoken tremors
