Violet Forest (Violeta López) is a Colombian-American creative technologist and digital artist. Her artistic practice is mainly focused on finding new processes and techniques with emerging technologies, including Web Art, Game/Virtual Reality Art, and GAN art, to name a few medias. Her work has been shown at institutions like Birmingham Open Media (UK) & Panke Gallery Berlin for the Vorspiel / Transmediale Festival.
For the Carat Signature Series, Violet Forest creates an AI-generated jewelry collection inspired by the aesthetics of jewelry seen strolling through the streets of Paris. The aesthetics of the jewelry is also influenced by the love her Colombian step-mom had for Parisian aesthetics, and the AI jewelry is an attempt to explore the role Parisian fashion has played on the aesthetics of beauty of Colombian femininities and fashion.
