Calanget

Calanget are small earth spirits from Gaddang folklore. They live inside the ground and make a whizzing sound when responding to a Babaylan's (shaman) call. Some regard the Calanget as the true owners of the land, they are known to inflict harm on those who disturb their underground homes.
