“We ran, scampering toward the darkness. We hid like rats, afraid and shivering. Torches of fire came from a distance. Trembling with fear, we huddled tightly. Then blackness descended upon us. Awakening, we found ourselves trapped in cages. Our freedoms had been taken away. Hope became a distant memory. Our hearts had become deafened. But we will fly again soon. We shall be free once more.”
