The butterfly is a wonderful creature with four colorful wings covered with tiny scales that shine like magic powder in the light. It hatches from an egg, eats leaves and grows into a larva (silkworm), then imprisons itself in a silken cocoon and transforms in complete silence. A few days or weeks later, it emerges from the cocoon. Not a caterpillar, but a delicate bird with wings that seem to have been painted by a painter of the sky. Butterflies love flowers, they collect nectar with their long proboscis and, on the way, they carry it from flower to flower, helping the plants. Most of their lives are short, sometimes just a few days, but in that short time, they give all the beauty and color to the world and remind us that change, even if it hurts, can transform us into something more beautiful.
