BUREAUCRAT
Postpainting
Circa 2025
This series of bureaucrats resists the very notion of portraiture. Faces slip into static, blurred and scarred, refusing recognition or individuality. What remains are fragments—suits, collars, traces of posture—that hint at power without ever revealing the person beneath. Each work stages a collapse of identity into system, a reminder that bureaucracy consumes the human until only symbols of authority survive. These figures are not men but apparitions of order—hollow vessels of administration, caught forever between presence and disappearance.
