Sentinel-1 satellite image mosaic depicts the braided Brahmaputra river floodplain and some of its tributaries in the borderlands between India and Bangladesh. Its name originates from Sanskrit and translates as "Son of Brahma (the creator)". The river system is fed by snowmelt waters from the Himalayas and as such occasionally experiences devastating floods. 6k image covers an area of about 60x60 km.
