In Japan, there are areas where you can swim with wild dolphins.
The Ogasawara Islands are the most famous, registered as a World Natural Heritage site, as a place where you can swim with wild dolphins. However, it takes 25 hours from Tokyo by ship.
Mikurajima island is also very famous, but it takes about 9 hours by ship from Tokyo. We leave Tokyo at night, so we arrive at Mikurajima island early in the morning, and we just sleep on the ship. The wild dolphins that live on Mikurajima island are mainly bottlenose dolphins and are very friendly.
This scene was taken of three dolphins that swam by when I was waiting for them.
