I found this bone at the end of a long and hard mountain hike in the province of Cordoba, Argentina.
The guide who had taken us there kept talking about the scenery and the history of the place, which was really fabulous, but I couldn't take my eyes off that recently fleshed animal leg.
Until recently, that bone had belonged to a beautiful horse, which surely, brimming with life, had left its footprints all over that valley, since it was a small foal.
That bone lying there, peeled by dogs and birds of prey, was its last testimony.
