(What the heck is BLURPLE? I've never heard of it before.) BLURPLE is a portmanteau of the colors Blue and Purple. BLUE + PURPLE = BLURPLE. It's is one of those words that has a little bit of controversy attached to it. There are some people that believe it is not a word and should never even be used saying that it is just the color of INDIGO, which lies between Blue and Purple on the visible light wavelength spectrum. Then there are others who deem it a color and it even has it's own HEX CODE: #5865F2 on the RGB color model (Red = 88, Green = 101, Blue = 242). (News Flash to those who think it doesn't exist...there's a HEX CODE...it exists.) Just because a word doesn't exist in the past doesn't mean it can't exist now. Language is malleable; words come and go with the passage of time and the winds of change. You and I are not the arbiters of language, but over time and in large amount of numbers of people words become into being. We will them into existence. EVERYTHING IS MADE UP...EVERYTHING. The names of colors, borders to countries, money, even our explanations of the universe, they are our interpretations of our experience of reality. (Geez, you got all of that from BLURPLE?) You betcha! [Pssss...BTW...only a couple more pages left!]
