Blue Lean

This piece is unique within the collection as it is the only one where black charcoal was applied and fixed on the paper first. Blue soft pastels and chalk were then layered on top to create the start of the piece. The figure study depicts and man leaning against a table. The textured finish of the piece developed as I worked fixing layers of pastel and chalk dust as it fell across the paper. Nothing was left to fall away. This piece was on the board for about 12 hours.
