BLOOP is a short film I animated, exploring the themes of magic realism and thalassophobia.

Metthew Strecher defines magic realism as "What happens when a highly detailed, realistic setting is invaded by something too strange to believe."

The short also takes inspiration from the short story "Monologue of Isabel Watching It Rain in Macondo" by Gabriel García Márquez.
