The dress and its movement generate a kind of organic expansion that pervades the architecture. I explore this relationship between the solid and the ephemeral: the building remains motionless while the body becomes unstable, vibrant, impossible to contain. In this tension, the true heart of the work emerges. Black and white allows me to eliminate the distraction of color and concentrate on light, texture, and time. The slow exposure transforms the fabric into an emotional extension of the body; it no longer functions as clothing, but as smoke, shadow, or matter in transformation.
I don't seek to represent a specific action. I'm interested in constructing an atmosphere akin to memory, dreams, or apparitions. The image moves between presence and disappearance, between dance and disintegration. Conceptually, this piece speaks to the fragility of identity and the impossibility of completely capturing a body or an emotion within an image. For me, photography here doesn't document: it evokes.
