This painting is a reflection of my feelings and thoughts about the situation in my country. I painted a woman who represents me and all the other women who suffer under the tyranny of the dictator. She was brave enough to challenge his authority and fight for her freedom. She was shot by bullets as she tried to cross the wall that divided us from the rest of the world. She survived, but her back is full of wounds and scars.
