Inspired by the infamous Elizabeth Bathory, the artist painted a beautiful woman bathing in a deep red liquid as if to retain her youth. Dainty white flowers represents the delicate innocence of the type of girls the murderous noblewoman would kill and bathe in their blood; virgins.
