Blindly we stumble through the infinitesimally small fraction of time we spend as a conscious entity, blind to the limitations of our being, blind to the truth hidden from us.
We crawl, and claw, and climb our way out of the pit of unknowing, hoping for small glimmers of light to illuminate our journey.
We beg for tiny rays of understanding to give us a meaning that is likely not there, hoping that something beyond ourselves looks through the shadows, guides us, and comforts us, without realizing that if it is there, it is also blind.
