Bit by the Crypto Bug by Joe Chiappetta

This comic is very loosely derived from a drawing called "Stag Beetle" by Albrecht Dürer, a master artist from the 1500s AD. While the initial inspiration for this art is a bit ancient, the concepts communicated in the drawing are ones that Dürer probably never could have imagined. Due to advances in modern cryptographic technology, digital art can now be coded to be crytographically rare and purchasable in limited editions with cryptocurrency. As a physical world comparison, this development is akin to issuing a limited edition print whereby only a few people can own the artwork.

Therefore, as alluded to in this crypto beetle-themed artwork, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Steem, Bitcrystals, Counterparty, and other altcoins have bluntly spread into the realm of art. The creative arena will never be the same. No exterminator can contain this infestation. Next stop, world domination.
