Beyond The Binary

This piece is a modern interpretation of the Hindu deity, Ardhanarishvara, who represents a perfect, balanced merging of masculine and feminine energies. I’ve always been inspired by the mythology behind this figure, as well as its depictions in varied art forms and styles since the first century C.E. It is my honor to join the legions of artisans, many nameless, who are inspired by the idea of a genderless, sacred force that can be celebrated in our quest for a more equal, inclusive world.
