We are used to looking at things only from straight angle, overlooking details that are hidden from us at first glance. This type of vision shapes our understanding of things, and drives us into the framework of the stereotypes we have created. What if we look at the world wider? What if we get used to presenting the bigger picture instead of focusing only on the details that are visible at first glance? This kind of vision would allow us to look at things more broadly, penetrating their essence and not just the outer shell. We came up with strict rules that formed the basis of life, and now, being guided by these rules, we ourselves limit our freedom of action, freedom of outlook and breadth of thought. But at the same moment, these rules and frameworks exist only in our head, and it is in our power to get rid of them. I was always inspired by the icons of Andrei Rublev, who painted his icons depicting the world in reverse perspective, as well as Pablo Picasso, who painted pictures without trying to adhere to generally accepted rules, but trying to show the very essence instead of the usual shell. The surreal spirit of such works prompted us to learn the principles of action of various optic lenses, the features of light refraction and the capabilities of various software in order to be able to push the boundaries of our usual vision, but already in the world of digital art. It took me 3 months of experiments to make this experience become possible, and this picture is the result of these experiments. It changes its appearance depending on the time of day. At night, we see the forms and strict lines we are accustomed to, in the morning and in the evening it begins to transform and freezes in an intermediate stage, in which you can see how proportions and sizes change. During the day, we have the opportunity to look beyond the usual and see what is hidden from our eyes. Forms and lines no longer lend themselves to familiar representations, but create a whole new image that allows us to look differently at the forms that have become familiar. If we treat our life in this way, we will be able to look at things with a fresh look of a child who does not yet have established conservative concepts, which means there is unlimited freedom of research and imagination. Thanks to such views of the world, we can finally look deeper, we can look beyond.
