Between Day and Night

I spent the late afternoon and into the dark of night at this spot, watching the light play on the rocks and buildings as the sun slowly slipped below the Pacific. I wanted to create an image that portrayed that ethereal time when day changes to night and the lighthouse goes to work. I accomplished this by compositing many different exposures from different times of the day into this final vision. Pigeon Point Lighthouse, California.
