My work stems from photography, but it doesn't seek to document reality; rather, it seeks to intervene in it. I use the body as an emotional and symbolic territory, transforming it through chromatic distortions and visual layers that generate tension between the human and the artificial.
In this piece, the figure appears suspended between beauty, wound, and mutation. The manipulation of color functions as an emotional interference: a rupture of the traditional portrait image. The tattoos, texture, and stain construct a fragmented, almost hybrid identity, where vulnerability and strength coexist.
The work speaks to how the contemporary body becomes archive, surface, and language in an era dominated by visual overexposure and the constant transformation of the image.
