BEGINNING02 // FALSE SPRING IN JOSHUA TREE in part of SECOND LIFE, a series of abstract works which combine a physical (oil) underpainting with digital overpainting and abstraction. The impressionistic piece depicts the recent false spring in my home of Joshua Tree, CA; the way the desert teases the heart with a stretch of warmth, only to fall back into winter once again.
