BECOMING

When the question of purpose comes to mind We ask “why?” Why are we here? Why do we keep going? I know for one, we’re not here merely for the hype or for short lived propaganda We’re here for the long haul and a steady agenda. We’re here to build something that lasts beyond the pixels, and games of apes and aggressive bears. We’re here to cultivate something purposeful, to prepare-- Prepare the ground for what will truly last. We’re here as ones that were once dust but created to create. Having the breath of life we were called to dominate- Dominate spheres of influence, where we are each called to bloom, where we are set to make a difference.

When we begin to unravel one thread from the tapestry, we hold a piece of unique treasure: Your words, your energy, your time- a portion of history. Entwined, engulfed and enriched in the pool of all the other treasures, seamlessly woven in with all the other threads: the value of You You matter. You are valuable. You are a piece of the puzzle A portion of the pie A thread in the tapestry that we can’t untie

You are the ligament in between bones A unique hue to the colorful palette tones A carefully, created, curated piece of art Infinitely important and eternally valuable, together or apart No man is an island. You were not designed for isolation. You were meant to thrive in community and collaboration. You can lift the lid off of someone’s head Help them get ahead and tell them what needs to be said Sometimes it’s not just about your dream It’s about helping another win in the team Your voice- a compass Your ideas- a seed Your actions- a gift They don’t even know they need

For every word you commit, for every hand you shake: A deed is made. A vow is created. A day is decided. Every intention, every desire on this side of life leaves an indelible mark. Whether the impact is big or minute, it leaves a footprint, an echo, a spark. The question is what kind of meaning do you want to give? What kind of gift do you want to offer? What kind of impact do you want to leave altogether? What marks are you leaving? How are they connecting?

For every action committed, a step taken a shadow cast for every light awakened You put up markers in your life that connect your past to your present And the markers you create today lead a way towards a future you will curate. For every gift that’s been given For every sin forgiven: There is a seed planted. A harvest reaped. A hope cultivated and a light to keep. You are not alone. Neither am I. This is a revolution In our ideas, conversations and colorful exchanges Creativity is cultivated Wisdom is added Hope is bred After all that’s said and done It’s time to start with one

One can make a difference but Two’s a company, steady. A cord of three can’t be easily broken you see - for collaboration for a legacy for a future Five,we all make it out alive As we pursue a common purpose, we build a history. So, careful now, the path you pave. Careful now, the art you create. Purpose, friend. Not just fate. It’s time you begin. It’s time we begin. It’s time to begin.
