B.B. King

I met B.B. King twice. He's also been an influence to my blues guitar playing style. First time I met him was in 1974, when I was a Toronto Blues mag. photographer, while attending Ontario College of Art. They sponsored many black bluesmen. He was performing at York University, with a two-piece back up. He played fabulous. I was lucky to get his autograph & chat a bit with him during the break. Next time I met him was in 1983, both being on the same plane almost across the aisle, heading to Calgary. He sort of recalled meeting me in Toronto 9 yrs. prior. Anyway, he passed me a signature & a ticket for the Calgary Concert. To meet a legend performer twice, is not that common.
