Basilisk

The centre of the collection is the The Basilisk, it was inspired by The Hydra from Metaphyla series 2 and is represented by a 1/1 NFT with associated physical sculpture. Continuing the exploration the threshold where digital meets physical the golden Basilisk was entirely hand modelled in Virtual Reality then 3D printed, coated in conductive paint, electroplated in metal and finished off with an AR marker that powers the Basilisk Eye.

The Basilisk Eye is a video loop created by Mr K Steels using his own refined process of cymatic capture to reveal the sacred geometry of sound. The hypnotic geometric patterns seen in the video are an entirely natural occurrence carefully captured on the oscillating air-water membrane using only light and lenses. The Basilisk Song was created by Varien.
