Baruna
Baruna (Varuna) was one of the most powerful deities in the early Hindu tradition.
Baruna is known as the god of water who is seen as having power over the sea of gods, ruler of the sky, bearer of rain, overseeing the underworld, and laying down universal laws.
Baruna has a mount named Makana or Makara, a strange sea giant.
Makara is described as a mixed creature between a crocodile and a dolphin and on other occasions looks like a big fish with the head of an elephant.
