Baroque Opera Singer

A digital portrait inspired by the singer Cecilia Bartoli, informed by traditional painting techniques, in the Baroque style. Many references were used to create the original detailed sketch, however the entire composition is fictional, with the hairstyle and dress being whimsical inventions. The self-assured smirk is typical of this era of portraiture, and is balanced by the constrained position of the hands.
