Aurora Borealis

Aurora Borealis captured in what I'm lucky enough to call my "backyard" Queenstown - New Zealand. Especially if there's any Aurora action forecast & the skies are clear, this spots my local.

On this occasion I wasn't planning on shooting, until my dog.. I guess you can say thankfully decided to wake me up at 1:30am for me to luckily check my phone to a Kp7 alert.

Quickly grabbed my gear and jumped in the car and headed on down to the lake. After a quick test shot I soon realised I was in for an epic night.

The show went on for a few hours before it faded away, the cold almost disappear's when you're lying back on the rocky beach watching it all unfold while my camera clicked away. One for the memory book.
