Storms have always fascinated me, not because of what they destroy, but because of what they reveal.
Long before the first drop of rain, something changes. The air grows heavier. The light shifts. We become aware that the world is no longer quite the same. I think life works that way too. We often recognize change long before we understand it.
This piece explores that threshold between uncertainty and clarity. The place where control begins to dissolve, but presence becomes possible. I’ve come to believe that resilience isn’t found in escaping the storm. It’s found in discovering a quiet center that cannot be carried away by the wind.
The city, the lightning, and the movement around us become metaphors for the internal landscapes we all navigate. Every storm leaves us with the same question: What remains when everything familiar begins to move?
RockinFREEWorld explores the intersection of imagination, resilience, and emerging technology through art that invites reflection and connection. Working across visual art, experiential storytelling, and social impact, she believes creativity is one of humanity’s most renewable resources, capable of building community, inspiring possibility, and helping people navigate a rapidly changing world. Her work seeks not simply to depict change, but to illuminate the quiet strength we discover while moving through it.
Submitted for the Storms open call with 34 Gallery, with gratitude for the opportunity to explore this universal and deeply human theme. 💜
