Long Exposures in digital photography always had their appeal to me. I love the creamy and soft textures you can achieve as well as the ability to preserve some movement and dynamics in the water. Waterfalls especially are a metaphor for finding a way around every stone and obstacle in life and overcoming barriers in the period of thousands of years. Perseverance is Key!
This shot was taken at a gorge in southern Austria, Carinthia, which I visited during our last family vacation. I had to climb down a steep hill towards this spot and boy, it was a very wet spot. Just had put on my jeans and had no wellies with me, so my butt got pretty wet as I had to sit down on a well soaked log which was jammed between some rocks. Waiting for the light took me some time and cost me a pair of shorts.
I edited this one a little bit more on the cooler side as I thinks it suits the overall theme very well.
