Arctic Light

Early morning deep within the fjord system of the Northeast Greenland National Park. As the half-light of the morning changed with moving cloud cover this large iceberg drifted closer to the boat. Smooth, calm water offered a wonderful reflection of the scene in front of me.

Capturing the moment was a both a privilege and an amazing experience to witness nature so close and personal. Photographing this iceberg slowly decaying and transforming its frozen state back to water I knew I had captured a moment in time that could not be repeated.
