The piece tells my story as a photographer. Back in 2009 i used to go out at night to escape my reality and explore the northern lights in the Arctic. This time was difficult in my life, my parents were having a divorce and my father attempted suicide which left him with severe brain damage for 11 years until he passed away last year. In the night i could escape and clear my mind, spending the whole night looking at the stars and watching the northern lights dance, that year i decided i had to capture what i was seeing, so i picked up a used camera and a tripod i found for sale online and started to practise, since that day i have never looked back. I've captured hundreds of images of northern lights, volcanic eruptions and the beauty of the nature here in Iceland. This piece was captured in Geldingadalir, Iceland 2021.
