Apricity

Apricity - The warmth of the sun in winter.

This is a stacked macro photograph of a very small frozen bubble sat on some frost. The low sun illuminates the bubble revealing its intricate and fragile structure, decorated in a spectrum of colours.

For this bubble to freeze the conditions have to be perfect and it has to be extremely cold. The structure doesn't last long before eventually collapsing in on itself.
