Anthony Bourdain

You just never know what people are going through. I was lucky enough to spend a few hours with him some years ago. The concept for the shoot location was, he’s been everywhere, what would his home turf be? He chose Manitoba’s, an east village punk rock bar. I like to think we got him in his happy place, if only for a little bit. He was an original. No pretense. I can’t bring myself to watch his show anymore, but I miss it, and knowing he was out there having an adventure for all of us.
