ANALOG TASK LIGHT, PERSIMMON + SUNRISE

In 2021 I designed this lamp and shared it on IG, I was sitting at my messy desk, had been playing Lego a lot with my kid and sketched a stack of cubes with 1 cantilevered off the side. I was thinking of the type of light I'd like on my desk, something geometric with a small footprint, a pop of color, something fun I'd want to look at during the day when it was off and that would make me happy

I then made a floor version and wall version and some context renderings revising them along the way. I used Gantri components in my models hoping the family might be produced by them.

Gantri decided to produce the collection and working with them was an awesome experience, the team offered a lot of support, helped me to begin thinking more about my brand and I have to give them all the credit for the engineering and figuring out how to simply remove the diffuser to change the bulb.

The collection was released in October of 2022 and sold through Gantri while also available at the MoMA Design Store in 2023 and 2024.
