Amongst the Giants by Courts Jay

This image was taken during a solo 5 month journey around Asia to experience new cultures, landscapes and people. I lost two of the most important people in my life the year prior, and it changed my perspective on what I really value in life. I thought to myself, if I don’t do this trip now, will I ever get to? Ultimately life is short, and if we don’t make time to explore we may never get the chance.

I sat at the front of the boat as we made our way out to Phi Phi, the sky was only just bright enough to see the islands in the distance. It was a beautifully calm morning.

We were fortunate enough to be the first ones to arrive at the islands. We had the magic of Phi Phi all to ourselves for over an hour. As the sun rose, the golden light shone through the peaks and brought these giant rock faces to life. A perfect moment of silence in the heart shaped lagoon.
