The story about this artwork might sound cliche. Alienor Claude was a child of a slave, she named herself Alien-or-Claude, because she felt alienated by society since she was child. She wasn't had any light to spark from anyone, she has to spark herself and she know it's not easy. What she needs to continue her life is only her brain, she can't just use it but also grow it up. She feel the pain a lot, as hard as her parents who live a life as a slave. From all the minimum wage, she has to use time and money efficiently. She then use herself to think more, recognize more to pay attention at many details. She knows, she can't just strong but must be observant. She know it, she know that she can be poor, but she can't be dumb. If she starring at you, it means she is observing you.
