"Alcala" Skull

This drawing is an inspired by Filipino Comic book artist Alfredo Alcala.

The skull is rendered in grotesque detail, mother earth is starting to reclaim him by making him one with the soil but there is still a last glimmer of life left...

I wanted to juxtapose the grim and macabre aspect of death with bright pop art inspired colors.
