AI can be thought of as a tool, wherein the AI does a particular task which it has been instructed to do, but in this case the AI has been nudged into creating something entirely new, dreamed up by its own "imagination".

The NFT includes the artist’s partial input into the AI (some of the input was lost, which means the image can never be reproduced again) as well as the name of the AI as a cryptographic hash (SHA-256):

The hash of the input to the AI certifies that the image was created using AI; it is also possible in the future for the artist to reveal his methods and prove the provenance of the image.
