Against the Void

I hate video games. They are a waste of time, meaningless distractions, just like my mom always says. And yet, my broken, restless, and ill mind aches for them. I am addicted, hopelessly addicted. This piece of art represents the darkness and void surrounding me. A darkness so heavy that the only escape is a glowing screen filled with moving pixels. Pixels that trap me, comfort me, numb me. They offer happiness. They offer me something to do. They make me feel relaxed. When the world turns black, those little lights are sometimes the only colour I have left. I love video games.
