ABUNDANCE

This painting, “ABUNDANCE” feels like home to me.

Growing up in Norway, I have rich memories of beautiful walks in the Norwegian woods. I remember the sensation of moss beneath my feet, the fresh scent of pine, and playfully watching my breath meet the cold, crisp air.

When I paint, I am guided by intuition. Nature is an eternal source of inspiration and often where I find my color pallet.

With the beginning of each new piece, I strive to keep the painting open to all possibilities. I lean in and welcome whatever happens. Layer upon layer, I craft stories without words. My goal is to evoke emotion as it is a free-flowing expression of my truth.

In “ABUNDANCE”, I use many shades of green to resemble the moss, birch, and pine from my homeland. Green is known as ‘the color of hope’. I hope to walk these woods again soon.
